Flu season…

I’m not sick… yet. It’s been all around me with my friends families experiencing it. In fact, I think the flu may have been a major part of why my church was so spectacularly empty on Sunday. Well, that and the time change. Oh the time change. But that’s another blog for another day.

I decided a long time ago that I was taking my chances with both the regular flu and the H1N1 flu this year… no vaccines. In fact, the one year I did get the flu shot — only a few short weeks later I ended up with the flu. How in the world do these scientists (or whoever makes these things up) decide that’s what’s going to be the virus that goes around this year? What… do they release it into the wild for us?

While I know that the H1N1 (aka Swine or piggy flu) has been getting all the publicity lately, I can’t imagine that this “pandemic” is really all that bad… it’s still the flu.

What are your thoughts on this? Have you had H1N1… and really, was it any worse than the regular flu???
