So with all of the excitement yesterday about my announcement of the new bloggy header and button by Mariah @ Jula Studios, I completely forgot to put up the blog post I was going to. Stay tuned this weekend! 🙂
And the other thing that’s new is that I’m now going to another blog conference… and the bonus is that it’s only 15 minutes away from my house. LOVE IT! So it’ll be a busy weekend for me, but I’m really glad that I found out about this opportunity.
And now it’s onto another 5 Question Friday with Mama M.
I’ll be honest, this week the questions really didn’t appeal to me… and I *almost* didn’t participate (yes, all about honesty here folks!) BUT because I know some of you enjoy reading my crazy answers to some of these questions… I’m doing this for you! 🙂
1. Do you have an iPhone and, if so, how do you get apps and what are your favorites?
I don’t have an iPhone or even one of the fancy new iPods that has the apps… but I wish I did. I have a Blackberry — and have had a number of issues over the past few months with it. Can’t wait til I can get something new. Or at least figure out what’s really wrong with the phone that I have.
2. What is your fondest memory of K-3rd grade?
I think it would be my 2nd Grade teacher in general. She was kind and I remember her really caring about us. I remember reading in her classroom and being involved. The sad part of this is that is the last time I really remember wanting to be involved with my classmates.
As a side note, the grossest memory during the same time period happened during that same year. It was when I discovered my cousin liked putting ketchup on his mashed potatos at school. I know potatos and ketchup go together in general… it just still grosses me out because of how it looks.
3. What makes you cringe at the thought of touching?
Spiders. Or a number of other bugs. Ewwwwwwwww.
4. If you could have any celebrity show up on your doorstep who would it be and why?
This was actually harder than I thought it would be. I sat and thought. And thought. And thought.
And ended up deciding that I would love Lauren Graham to show up on my doorstep because I adored her in Gilmore Girls and now in Parenthood. She is an amazing actress… and because she’s not in the everyday tabloids for all kinds of negative stuff, I would be led to believe that she is a worthy person to know in real life as well.
Plus… as a side note, she’s friends with the 2nd person I would have show up on my doorstep… Matthew Perry. So there’s the potential that he would come along and marry me after Lauren and I become best friends.
5. What would you say is your best physical feature?
I *love* my red hair – the red is natural, any blonde you see has been added by yours truly. I don’t think (er, I know) I didn’t always love it — in fact if I had more guts (read: not afraid of others reactions) in high school I probably would have been one of those girls that changed her hair color on a whim.
